Once a month I'll send out updates on my writing projects, along with thoughts on what I've been reading, watching, or doing that might be of interest. I have future plans to start hosting some in-person and/or online events and creating some humane education resources, so you'll get updates on that as well.

A Note on Privacy

Did you know that when you subscribe to most newsletters, the sender can see which emails you did or didn't open and which links you clicked on? That's great for their marketing purposes, but not so great for your privacy.

For a long time that made me feel kind of icky about having a standard newsletter and I stopped sending things out.

In fall 2026 I discovered Mailcoach, a newsletter provider that has tracking turned off by default. Plus, they're based in Belgium and GDPR compliant, which is a much better data protection law than we have here in Canada.

So if you subscribe, I won't be snooping around in your email reading habits; I just send it out and you do you.
